Where it all began...

River Mountain Properties was founded by Lindsey Gilmer, a 3rd generation real estate broker and 3rd generation Virginia Tech graduate with over 20 years of real estate experience in the New River Valley. Named for the mountain visible from her family farm, River Mountain Properties reflect the strong roots, work ethic, and sense of responsibility that shaped her from the beginning. From working cattle on horseback to managing investment portfolios, Lindsey learned early that hard work matters, details matter, and people matter. That mindset still drives everything we do today.

Now in its 11th year, RMP manages properties with a hands-on, relationship driven approach, treating each home and investment with the same care and attention you would expect for our own. Fun Fact: Our office is proudly divided. There is a strong rivalry between the dog people and the cat people. Ace, our miniature schnauzer and unofficial mascot, is working hard to convert the cat people. Progress has been… limited.
